Our Journey…
We met online in the fall of 2013, I(LaWanda) can remember that day like yesterday. We talked and talked all day on the phone, our conversations seemed like we knew each other forever. When we finally met each other months later seemed like our friendship grew even stronger, we were really like BEST FRIENDS. James was that friend that I felt like I could be myself around & not feel guilty or ashamed about anything when it came to me. He always listened and gave great advice. I started having feelings for him & he turned me away a couple of times(yall he didn’t want me), because he said he didn’t have space in his life for me because he wanted to be really ready for me. I didn’t clearly understand but we continued to remain friends over the years. I ll never forget the day when he called me April 13, 2022 & said he wanted to give us a try!!! Y’all that was music to my ears. I shut everything down that I had going on & put all my focus on him. I fell in love with my best friend. He always said that he would be engaged by 2025 & married by the end of 2026 & here we are today…

Rigena Shakur - Matron of Honor
Rigena-One of my favorite first cousins, first daughters of two sisters, born less than a month apart from each other. We were raised like sisters. She’s that person that has a heart of gold but doesn’t tolerate any nonsense whatsoever! She’s also that person who has been there with me through thick and thin. And she is always gonna be older than me(inside joke we share😂).
Stephanie Simpson - Maid of Honor
Stephanie-My cousin/sister. Ever since we found out we were cousins we have been inseparable. We have been through some storms & we have enjoyed some sunshine together. When the music comes on we're the first ones on the dance floor. She's the sun that never goes a day without shining in my life! If there's anything you want to know about me she knows EVERYTHING (my partner in crime)!
Charday Graham - Matron of Honor
Charday-My favorite bonus cousin! She’s has been the sweetest person ever since I met her & has never changed up in any way. Shes very loyal, understanding, & will go over & beyond to help you. She’s the mirror of the kind of person who I wanted to be years ago.
Aiyannah Caple - Usher
Our daughter, her dad’s twin. Very sweet and kind young lady with a heart of gold. She will go above & beyond for those she loves.
A'Niyla Crawford - Jr. Bride
My little diva friend/soon to be grand-niece. The sweetest little girl that has a very bubbly personality. Has always been friendly since I’ve met her.
Alora Graham - Flower Girl
My little bonus cousin! Very smart little girl who comes off shy at first but once she warms up to you, she is your best friend!
Nate Tillman Jr. - Best Man
Nate- My brother from another mother. My road dog and partner in crime since the 8th grade. 30 years of solid friendship. Always there when I need him, always has my back.
Cory Caple - Groomsman
Cory- My little brother. My very first buddy. Always right by my side. Alot like our dad, serious demeanor but sense of humor is alot like mines.
Tre Forte - Groomsman
Tre- Big cuz, the wise one. Always stayed on me to make sure my head is on straight. My therapist when I need to talk. My mentor, the big brother i never had
Brandon Graham - Groomsman
Brandon- Another brother from another mother that snuck his way into my family lol. As solid as they come. The type of friend that calls and checks up on you. Goes out of his way to help you in any way. Glad he joined my family

If “broke & expensive” was a person this is him. He’s our grandson who loves to spend time with us just to get to the store to get a toy but never has money but wants the most expensive toys. Loves to use “Pop-pop” as his personal punching bag. But, very sweet and charming

Our grandson whose favorite word is NO yet wants to be a baby. Very charming and funny and will always make you smile even if he tap dancing on your last nerve! A very big lover of music and loves to dance🕺🏽.
Malik Lewis - Usher
Whew… Our oldest son who plays on your intelligence but yet makes you feel like life wouldn’t be the same without him. Very kind, loving, & caring. He will leave you questioning yourself every time like why Malik?
Demarco Lewis - Usher
Our son who is one that stays to himself, but will go to war for anything and anyone he loves. And tolerates NO disrespect & will confront you in an instant. But very loving and caring in a different way!
Joshua Lewis - Usher
Our son who thinks he’s the daddy and has all the answers. Comes off like a drill sergeant but he only wants the best for people. Yet loving & caring, & thinks he’s the cats meow!!!
